HomeZada enhances tasks specifically relating to recurring tasks and ad-hoc tasks. With recurring and ad-hoc tasks there is now more flexibility in setting the “Type of Task”. Prior to this enhancement, this field was fixed with only the specific values for Cleaning, Fix-it, Maintenance, Yardwork and Other. HomeZada listened to its customers and we discovered the many people use the HomeZada task and calendar system for various property purposes. So. these users wanted the flexibility to group tasks together.
What does this new enhancement mean for you
This new enhancement does two things for HomeZada users. First, there are more common “Types” of Tasks including ‘Family, Finance, Personal, Property” in the drop down list the HomeZada users can choose. The other enhancement is HomeZada users can create their specific task grouping. By just clicking in the field, and instead of picking of the defaults, you can just type in a new type of task. This is similar to other areas of HomeZada. Moving forward anytime you create a task the new task you typed in will appear in your drop list for future use.
Here is use case scenario with some screen shots of how you could use this. Now you can use the calendar to remind you of when to pay bills. Here is a screen shot of a recurring task we setup to pay the mortgage. We set the type to “Finance” (one of our new defaults). This is using the task system as a reminder on when to pay certain bills.
Since we setup this recurring task as a monthly task, the task list will show this task along with all your other maintenance, cleaning, fix it, personal tasks.
But you can use the “Filter” capability at the top of the task list page to show the “Finance” related tasks, like the one we just created for Pay Mortgage. This gives HomeZada users the flexibility to review different kinds of tasks. These tasks can be combined with more types.
